a few of my favorites this week.

Interview Mag

so there has been a lot of issues of these images... i wasn't really sure what to think when i first saw them. part of me was felt as if daria was being presented as an angelic figure and all the black folks were dirty and grimy. but the other part of me really likes this editorial. i love the hard and oiled up bodies on the supporting models against the paleness of daria... the colors work. the photography works... personally i love it. it's artistic. let's stop being so sensitive people...and yes i'm black :)

Marie Claire France

is plus sized the new norm? it seems like plus sized models are "in vogue" lately. i think it's beautiful that fuller figures are being featured more and more and I hope it's not just a passing phase.

favorites this week

cassie in laquan smith & chanel iman in michael kors

visually/ fashion wise the best video i have seen in awhile. my eyes were overwhelmed with all the vintage looks. chunly jewely. heavy black eyeliner. high waist lingerie...i absolutely loved it. i love how it was filmed...like a black sexplotation film back in the day. who styled this?!?!
